This endless thirst is a metaphor for excessive materialism and avarice. The ocean's wealth grows as it accumulates the waters of others, leaving them drained and parched. Similarly, in our family's dynamics, those who already possess more resources (the ocean) continue to accumulate wealth and power, while those who have less (the rivers, lakes, and streams) are left to struggle. Despite their abundance, the ocean-like individuals remain insatiable, ignoring the needs of others and perpetuating imbalance. I was unwittingly misled to contribute to this imbalance, driven by my belief in the unity and bonds that I thought existed within our family.
